Everyone of us is on a journey.
And this journey is unique to every traveller.
 *The PATH will take a full three years to become fully implimented

Here at Lawson we have created a
values-driven path to help each of us grow intentionally, personally, relationally, and spiriually.
So, no matter where you are in your spiritual journey;
a seeker;
a disciple, young or old;
in your walk,
we have carefully designed
each step....
|
Everyone begins at the Discovering L.H.A.C. stepping stone in the Path diagram. This workshop helps you get your bearings and set your course.
Below is explained three main Pathways - the In-Common Pathway, designed to help all sojourners discover God and find meaningful friendships and take those first steps in their personal spiritual journey. Then the Seeker's Pathway is designed to help those seeking answers, reasons for hope and faith in God. Then the Disciple's Pathway which is designed to help those who have made a personal decision to follow Jesus as Saviour and Lord to maximize their spiritual growth and experience with the living God!
* Each Pathway and their supporting paths are explained more clearly beside.

1. In-Common Pathway
a. Discovering LHAC
This class introduces you to our church and provides some great ways to discover what God has for you here at Lawson. We encourage you to come connect, ask questions, meet new people and find new ways to get going in your spiritual journey. We hope that you will find that our home is your home.
b. Sunday Celebrations
Celebrations are our main service times here at Lawson (Morning Worship and the Element). This is a time for everyone, at every stage of the journey to get connected with other sojourners and with God.
c. KidZone
Kids are on a spiritual journey too. We provide age appropriate classes where your kids can discover God and Biblical values in a fun and exciting way.
d. LifeSkills Workshops
We offer a number of workshops on a variety of topics, such as marriage; parenting; personal finances; grandparenting; and more. While they are not directly related to the Path, they do provide incredible help for everday life.

2. Seeker Pathway
a. Alpha
The Alpha Course consists of a series of talks addressing key issues relating to the Christian faith.
Dessert
There is a delicious dessert at the beginning of each session which gives people a chance to get to know each other.
Talk
Watch, listen, learn, and discover. Together we will watch a video of speaker and pastor Nicky Gumbel. It is a rational, entertaining presentation of the key claims of Jesus Christ in the Bible.
Coffee & Small groups
After each talk we divide into small groups to discuss the topic of the evening, ask questions and express opinions. And ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
b. Seeker Events
Every once in a while we will provide events which are geared to address special issues each of us face in our world.
|
3. Disciples Pathway
a. Worship Path
This is a 6 week large group class based on the book "The Purpose Driven Life." The emphasis in this class is to begin orienting sojourners with their true purpose in life.
b. Fellowship Path
This is a 2 session workshop answering the questions: The importance of Christian fellowship; What is LHAC; Our membership; Our baptism; Our communion; Our Small Groups.
b.1. Small Group Connection
The Small Group is an essential link between being a believer and being a mature disciple of Christ. We call it a "next level step" in the Path, because it does take you to the next level in your spiritual growth. It is our experience that personal growth in Christ is maximized through the encouragement and accountability of a small group of other sojourners. You can get connected to a group through an event we call the small group connection. A single event that helps like-minded peers connect and get growing.
b.2. P.D.P. Training (Personal~Discipleship~Plan)
In conjunction with the Small Group we will walk you through a Personal Discipleship Plan (P.D.P.). We use an evaluation tool that helps you pinpoint where you are at in your spiritual journey and is designed to enable you to establish a proactive plan for going to the next level in your growth. Then in the context of your small group you will encourage each other along, helping each other follow-through on their plans.

c. Discipleship Path
This path is first designed to meet the needs of young believers who have yet to discover the basics of the Christian walk (or maybe for those who'd like a refresher). There are two extended 13 week classes.
c.1. D-Path-1
In this first class, you, along with a group of other sojourners you will discover - the nature of God, the Bible, prayer, fasting, stewardship, etc.
c.2. D-Path-2
This second 13 week class follows the "The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus" program. This material chronologically binds together the entire story of the Bible in an easy, logical and enlightening manner.
c.3. D-Path-Next Level Step
This "next level steps" includes the option of T.E.E. (Theological Education by Extension) and/or Bible College.
|
d. Ministry Path
This Path is an empowering workshop where you will discover how God has S.H.A.P.E.D you for fulfilling your unique part in His kingdom. This is more than a spiritual gifts discovery survey, it is a process of helping you discover you and then to get plugged in to meaningful service for the King! Following this workshop you will be given an opportunity to join a Ministry Action Team within our churches ministry structure or maybe your passion and gifts will be to serve through a parachurch ministry or in our community.
e. Outreach Path
Jesus' command to "go and make disciples" is the mandate for all believers. This Path is both a knowledge gaining, but also hands-on workshop, focused on getting you actively witnessing to unchurched friends and family and introducing them to the life of God through the church.
