Love in Motion

Tiess McKenzie embarked on a 9 week incredible journey riding his bicycle across Canada. Starting in Vancouver, BC, he was joined by hundreds of riders who will ride all the way to Halifax, NS. He will be joined by his father, Pastor Ty McKenzie for three weeks of the journey. The McKenzies rode to raise support for Good News Chapel in Regina, SK

"Love in Motion is a fully supported Ride across Canada to raise support and awareness for projects supporting many of our vulnerable and at-risk urban communities. Additionally, a ‘special’ motorcycle project will purchase motorcyles for agricultural specialists in Niger, West Africa. Bicycles and motorcycles will journey from Vancouver to Halifax (or shorter one week rides along the way) this coming June 30 through August 31, 2014. We invite you to join together with hundreds of like minded people right across the country - as we put our Love in Motion!"

Alliance Missions

As part of the Alliance thrust into the 21st Century and with a view to hastening the return of our Lord and King, we have identified four areas of the world that are home to millions of these 'least-reached.'   To identify these regions and make it easy to remember them in prayer, we have created the Five S Venture to underscore our desire to reach these peoples. The five S's are: Silk Road, Caribbean Sun, Desert Sand and Asian Spice. and Sea to Sea.

  • Silk Road: From Turkey to northwest China, through to Iran and Tajikistan.
  • Caribbean Sun: Sharing the message of Jesus Christ in Latin America.
  • Desert Sand: More than 150 million people call the Desert Sand region of Africa their home.
  • Asian Spice: Taking the gospel to the Far East.
  • Sea to Sea: Canadian church planting

Missions trip to Mexico city 2013

On July 5-13, 2013 a team planned to travel to Mexico City and a small village to serve along side Heather Hahn. Their main goal was to connect with their children’s ministry (Brave Heart Kids) and teach kids about Jesus Christ. The team was unable to visit the small village but was able to minister and serve in Mexico City.

Our seamless Link

Lawson Heights Alliance Church has a Seamless Link partnership with Heather Hahn. This means that we specifically partner with Heather and the ministries that she is directly involved in. We pray for her and her ministry, send short term teams to serve, send young adults to do internships, and give financially towards her ministry in Mexico City. Pastor Tyler is planning on taking a short term missions trip to Mexico City in July 2018. If you are interested, apply online.

In January 2013, Pastor Ty and Pastor Tyler were able to take a vision trip to Mexico City. On this trip, Pastor Ty and Pastor Tyler were able to visit a village outside the city and see God open the doors of opportunity for this summer's missions team.  Two of Heather Hahn's ministry involvements are Brave Heart Kids (Corazon Valiente) and La Fluente (Local Church). Through these ministries, Heather and her team have been able to build relationships with families in the city and families in some villages outside the city.
